Gate Valves Manual and Hydraulic
The Foley type QF and QFP gate valves have been designed
to meet or exceed API standards, NACE MR-01-75, DNV and other special customer
specifications. The valves are very useful for a wide range of land or offshore
applications and are available in a wide range of sizes, working pressures
and trims and offer such advantages as:
Size, range of 2.1/16" to 7.1/16"
Pressure range of 2000-15000 psi
Service range for H2S or CO2 and a wide range of fluids and solids
One piece gate with non-rising stem
Bi-directional sealing valves seal against pressure in either direction
Backseat stem to allow packing replacement without production loss
Standard valve converts into a spring close or a hydraulically actuated
safety valve
Gate/Seat assembly allows easy replacement with conventional tools.
Robust all forged-steel bodies with a wide range of connections
A wide range of actuators including manual, hydraulic and pneumatic
Hard-faced and lapped gates and seats provide a superior metal to metal
seal.
Choke Valves
The QF2 positive and adjustable chokes come in sizes 2.1/16"
to 4.1/16" and working pressures from 5000-15,000 psi with the following
design features:
Available in a maximum 2" orifice in positive and adjustable chokes
Robust forged steel body
Adjustable chokes have stainless steel stem and seat with tungsten
carbide tip and insert for long field life
Manufactured according to NACE and API standards
Available in PSL levels 1, 2 and 3
Available in most trims
Manufactured under the quality standard of ISO 9001
Chokes can be actuated manually, pneumatically or hydraulically
A complete range of drilling choke systems tailored to the customers
needs and requirements can also be provided.
Stewart and Stevenson also provide a range of Well Services which have been
field proven. Their experience with these designs, and over the years in the
oilfield, allows Stewart and Stevenson to service, repair and provide spare
parts for these products or those produced by other manufacturers.
RAM type Blowout Preventer (BOP)
Advanced engineering and manufacturing practices have produced the Stewart
and Stevenson Type Q ram BOPs for surface and sub-sea drilling
applications, for a wide range of bore sizes and working pressures.
The Type Q ram BOP has a wide choice of connection types and body
styles.
The top, bottom and outlet connections can be specified as flanged, hubbed
or studded. Body styles can be specified as single, double or triple. These
choices give the maximum flexibility to meet customer requirements.
The Type Q ram BOP design incorporates many features that enhance
safety, reduce maintenance and provide flexibility.
Bonnets are hydraulically opened to provide access for ram or ram seal
change.
Well bore pressure provides additional sealing when rams are closed.
Design simplicity allows easy replacement of all seals and major parts
when required.
The design allows rams to be manually locked if hydraulic system fails
and conditions require ram closure.
All metal areas, parts and seals are resistant to H2S.
Type Q Bops are manufactured in accordance with the
latest API standards and under the quality standards of ISO 9001.
Annular BOP Details
The Type S annular BOPs provide a quick, positive sealing action
to keep drilling fluids in the well during well control situations. It allows
the maximum choice of connections and body styles. The bottom connection can
be specified as flanged, hubbed or studded. The body style can be specified
as screwed or latched head. It also incorporates features that enhance safety,
reduce maintenance requirements and provide flexibility.
Manufacturing and quality standards ensure high quality and safety
standards for the intended application.
Only two moving parts (piston and packing element) provide a dependable,
efficient and low maintenance product.
Well bore pressure assists the piston in energizing and effecting a
packing element seal.
Design simplicity allows replacement of all seals and major parts when
required.
All metal areas, parts and rubber goods exposed to well fluids are
resistant to H2S
Type S Annular BOPs are manufactured in accordance with
the latest API specifications and under the quality standards of ISO 9001.
Coiled tubing and wireline BOPs are also part of our product range.
BOP Control System
The Koomey division of Stewart and Stevenson was the inventor of the modern
BOP control system with its development in 1952. Today Stewart and Stevenson
manufactures control systems to meet the many needs of the industry. A typical
control system is equipped with:
11 gallon, 3000 psi wp accumulator bottles, ASME coded and stamped.
(Additional bottle sizes and pressures are available as well as different
certifying authorities such as Lloyds and DNV).
Electric motor driven triplex pump assembly with motor starter and
automatic switch all explosion proof.
Fluid control manifold with air cylinders for remote control panels.
Pressure transmitters and transmission of signals to remote control
panels.
Failsafe, pressure reducing and regulating valve (with override) to
control hydraulic pressure to annular type BOP.
Air or electric remote control panels.
A complete set of safety alarms.
Accessories also include, diverter control panels, high pressure test units
and chart recorder assemblies and crown block safety systems.
Stewart and Stevensons wide experience of design and operation of these
systems allows us to provide full service and spare parts back-up for systems
manufactured by ourselves and other companies.
